Counter Sales  / Warehouse Position

Reports to:
Electrical Controller Products, General Manager

Role Summary:
Counter Sales is primarily responsible for assisting customers over the phone, internet and counter with product questions, quotations and orders.  Exceptional service to external and internal customers is critical to the success of the position.  Discretionary authority is used frequently to determine and provide customers with product pricing and when negotiating with suppliers and/or purchase materials to fulfill customer orders.  This position must effectively work with the sales team and/or other ECP team members as needed to maintain the best possible levels of customer service throughout our day-to-day business routines. Additionally warehouse responsibilities will include but will not be limited to, shipping, receiving, inventory and purchasing-related activities.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Provide timely and accurate information and respond to customer requirements, challenges, issues and information requests. Take ownership of these elements to resolve customer concerns as efficiently as possible.

2. Partner with team members to insure customer satisfaction. Exceed the customers expectations whenever possible and feasible.

3. Thoroughly understand all product capabilities, features, benefits and equivalents as well as market conditions, product warranties and services to further enhance the customer’s experience.

4. Proactively follow-up on customer orders, customer challenges and needs. Respond appropriately within scope of job, capabilities and customer desires.

5. Conduct price negotiations with both the customer and vendors.

6. Assist Sales and other Associates when needed.

7. Adopt a whatever-it-takes approach to achieve the best possible customer service.

8. Perform other related duties as assigned and as necessary depending on customer needs and workflow.

8. Electrical & motor control experience strongly preferred.
